These are an American staple, named during the Great Depression when meat and cheese for sandwiches were scarce. These tangy pickled cucumbers were a cheap alternative to put between bread and butter.

All pickles lean toward American-style pickles. They are less-sweet and more vinegar-forward than their supermarket counterparts. They like their pickles punchy!!
