Middlesbrough born Gina McQuen is a specialist leather artist, living in London, creating bespoke hand painted art on leather furniture and products. Her work is inspired by traditional Japanese tattoo & mythology embedded within the natural world.
This new unique collection of hand-painted 100% leather cushions are available exclusively in store at In-Residence.
Hand-painted Nappa butter soft leather adorned with green snake and blue peonies and finished with green silk tassels. The peony represents good fortune and high honour, a symbol of wealth and prosperity ; it also suggests gambling with a devil may care attitude and is also popular tattoo motif. Snakes are tenacious and are regarded as Gods messengers and are especially lucky to have in your home.
