Cynthia Payne (24 December 1932 - 15 November 2015) was an English brothel keeper and party hostess who made the headlines in the 1970s and 1980s, when she was acquitted of running a brothel at 32 Ambleside Avenue, Streatham in London. She became famous for her creative use of Luncheon Vouchers.

The 1987 film 'Personal Services' told the story of her life, with Julia Walters cast as Cynthia.

This portrait of Cynthia Payne, or Madam Cyn as she was dubbed in the press, was taken at the Two Brewers in the late 80s. The Two Brewers in Clapham, South London's most famous cabaret venue and has proudly served the gay community for over 40 years.
